Dr. Jessica Pizano graduated with honors from the University of Bridgeport’s clinical nutrition master’s program. Soon after she earned her certified nutrition specialist (CNS) credential and continued her education at Maryland University of Integrative Health where she graduated with a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition. The owner of Mast Cell Advanced Diagnostics and co-owner of Clinical Paradigms, Dr. Pizano uses nutrition, nutritional genomics, metabolomics, and medical advocacy to help improve clinical outcomes in those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, mast cell activation disorders, dysautonomia, and other related conditions.

Along with Sabrina Vaz, she has created The Zebra Method, a series of Pilates-based corrective exercise videos and other resources for patients with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She has developed course work at the master’s, doctoral, and post-graduate level at MUIH in nutritional genomics, has published a series of peer-reviewed journal articles on the microbiome, contributed two chapters on nutritional genomics in a graduate-level nutrition textbook, and contributed the first published nutritional guidelines for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome in the book Transforming Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. In addition to her clinical practice and teaching, Dr. Pizano frequently participates in research to benefit patients with connective tissue disease and related conditions.
